Improvements to this stylesheet

I currently plan to make changes, so that some elements are better formatted for printing. Also some paddings/margins will be reduced to make better use of the space. – Magiczocker (talk) 17:23, 2 May 2025 (UTC)

May I add some suggestions?
  1. Since this is for printing pages, I'd suggest removing or toning down wiki colors so that they're more legible, especially element borders that are 1px thin. Setting them to black or using color-mix to blend into a darker color can work.
  2. Force standard font sizes appropriate for printing, about 10-14 points.
  3. Specify a font other than Rubik, but this is up for the style maintainer.

The point of this stylesheet, as indicated by its name, is to remove irrelevant parts from the printed version. Improvements like adjusting colors and fonts are more subjective, so I think they belong either on a separate stylesheet or on a variant stylesheet that the user can choose to import - not on the default one.
As for adjusting whitespace like padding and margins - if you find a way to do it better, you're welcome. Just make sure to test it on different page layouts (normal/expanded, and with or without the sidebar visible on the screen) to make sure it doesn't become messed-up.

I added most of my changes, but left out text color changes. – Magiczocker (talk) 19:59, 4 May 2025 (UTC)
Hey there, I'm sorry, quick testing with the browser's print preview shows me that the new version causes the content to overflow the page's width, which is definitely undesirable. I think there're also some opinionated details there which I'm trying to avoid, just like color and font changes - the idea is to keep the design similar to the web version, not to redesign it. I'm reverting it until I can do a more thorough review.
(it's open for discussion though, I trying to keep the role of the maintainer but not to gatekeep it)

Hi there - an update: I've now incorporated some of the improvements you suggested, but left out others. As before, it's open to discussion.
